Pee Dee Electric Cooperative, Inc. Names Interim CEO
April 7, 2017 (Darlington, SC) – After the tragic and sudden passing of their President and CEO, Mr. Brian F. Kelley this past Tuesday, the Pee Dee Electric Cooperative, Inc. (PDEC) Board of Trustees named Ms. Debi Osterberg interim CEO.
Osterberg loyally served as Chief Financial Officer of PDEC from 2001-2014 under their previous President and CEO, Mr. Toy Nettles and also worked alongside Mr. Kelley for many years. She also has 17 years of prior experience with investor owned utility, Pennsylvania Electric.
Current PDEC Board of Trustees Chairman, Mr. James A. Goodson, said, “Debi has all of the knowledge and experience our cooperative needs to get us through this tough time. Our board has full confidence that she will keep leading us in the right direction with continued success.” The announcement was made to all employees this morning.
The Board will conduct a search for a permanent President and CEO. Osterberg stated this morning she would work diligently to keep things running smoothly while they find the next perfect fit for the cooperative.
